Past, Present and Future

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A stupid forward maybe? Some nice lines nonetheless....

"If u TREAT her nicely, she says u are IN LOVE with her; If u Don't, she says u are PROUD.
If u DRESS Nicely, she says u are trying to LURE her; If u Don't, she says u are from CHENNAI. If u ARGUE with her, she says u are STUBBORN; If u keep QUIET, she says u have no BRAINS.
If u don't Love her, she tries to POSSESS u; If u Love her, she will try to LEAVE u.
If u SCOLD her, u are like a CHACHA to her; If she SCOLDS u, it is because she CARES for u.
If u BREAK your PROMISE, u Cannot be TRUSTED; If she BREAKS him, she is FORCED to do so. If u HURT her, u are CRUEL; If she HURTS u, u are too SENSITIVE!!
If u send this to girls, they will swear that it's not true but if u don't, they say u are selfish...."

Ohm Shanti Ohm

Just another day in paradise...

Girish is bored after dinner...Even though he lacks the Karan exuberance of "We must do something lo!!", he still desires sommmme stimulation...And I know he'll nod his head as he reads this, he prefers mental stimulation more than err..eh..physical stimulation...

And what better mental stimulation than random chit chats about assorted topics...Tonight's conversation started with him politely asking me to go hang myself using the electric wires running above my head, as i stood in front of my house gate..

And thus was triggered a physics related discussion!

If a man (example me...we spent some time laughing at this a bit :D ) were to hang by an electric wire with both his hands, suspended in mid air, he isn't grounded and he won't die...But why won't current pass from the wire, thru his left hand, thru his body, thru his right hand and then back onto the wires again? A small sketch to illustrate...

Well, I'll let u guys figure out the answer to this one (Girish Physics knowledge mele respect banthu :O)

Well, the gist is that some current does indeed flow thru us, which is not too much to affect us, but might efficiently render an innocent crow quite mad :D :D

And then we went into whether bats are nothing but crows sitting on electric wires and experiencing a shocking moment in their lives...Might not just be conjecture...

At roughly 10.39 we concluded that it must be the magnetic field, around the electric wire right above my head, which was causing all these brilliant theories to be propounded...and we ended the fun :D

Layla

* Dual scale song
* A killer opening on the guitar
* A long slide solo going beyond the frets of the Guitar by Mr Allman, ably accompanied by the blues excellence of Mr Clapton
* The suicidal notes of the mesmerizing piano (sigh)

Enough to make me go ga ga over this masterpiece.

With his hoarse vocals, Mr Clapton usually takes credit for this song and does a fine job...

Here he is on stage, enjoying his music(oh he always does!)..Going at his solo like a blind, doped guy...But he's only human annodanna prove madakke, at roughly 3:35 he extremely blatantly strikes a wrong note...

The expression on his face is priceless! Its almost like saying to himself "Oh Eric!!...Tut tut tut..."

Cricket

Stupid addictive game! Daridra...

What with our "young and dynamic" team lifting the T20 World Cup (and heavy suitcases of chaching! also), cricket fever is well n truly here..

But one segment of the society has traditionally been against this captivating sport..Specifically, it taking up substantial TV time! Aha good guess mah friend...The moms in the houses...

Somehow, with them, the josh is never at the same level as the males in the family...Maybe they don't appreciate the beauty, the art, the small technicalities or the rather embarrassing and funny Sreeshanth histrionics!

I had a chance to run into a living exception to this rule monn monne...After supplying me with some yummy gas gase payasa, she kindly reported the score; And as I was heading towards the front door, she watched an Aussie batsman execute a rather crafty fine sweep towards the usually vacant fine leg region and exclaimed :

"Ayyo yaaaaaaaru illa alli fielders...Idanna nodtaa iddre naane hogi fielding maadana ansatte!"
(Ayyo noooooobody is there fielders...This if i keep seeing let me only go and do fielding i feel)

Rather cute, what!?

Truth

"Satyamapriyam na brooyaath"

"Bitter truth should not be told"

Too generic a statement...Look for the fineprint...

And develop the sense of judging a circumstance and the clarity when deciding whether truth is "apriyam" or not...And whether the truth is necessary and safer, even though "apriyam"!

Steam room

Chandler : Why did they have to put so much steam in there!?!?!?
Ross : Cos otherwise they'd have to call it the 'room' room :chuckle

Steam with Eucalyptus oil is very good for ur health.
A. It cleans up ur respiratory system realllll good
B. It opens up the pores in ur skin so that it becomes clean and refreshed.

I learnt this all from the the guy who was with me in the steam room. Before the Maruti Suzuki esteemed readers of this blog start assuming a very Friendsish scenario, let me state unequivocally that no such thing happened. For a while I was feeling the heat, but I realised very quickly that I was sitting right above the vent that produced the steam and quickly moved away with a "what ho!". After that it was all smooth sweating. I reaped all benefits of steam + eucalyptus oil.

The End.

SCREEEEEEEECH!

But wait!

The eventful journey TO the steam room! :D
I'll let the car freaks guess which model this beauty on Intermediate ring road was...Captured by yours truly, on 4th gear on his bike at around 50 kmph on one hand!
