The unnamed feeling

And the cadence tells me that soon i'll meet my judgment day!

So much to do, so little time! (If you don't have time, how come u are writing this blog maga? ahahahah) Is this the cause of a sense of numbness and the frustration?

As I look at the next coupla months and see staggered deadlines, I cant help but wonder about my future...

There's a seemingly aggressive movement going on in our product section called "Build For Future"...Seems to be holding good for my personal life too...That part of my life (already?!), I think, where I stop, DONT look back and squint at that fuzzy milestone with "Murali's super wonderful wi...life" written on it...

Oh hahaha I'm so naive!

Freakin out

I'd envisaged about 6 different openings for this blog.
Make that 7.

A torrential downpour, a reason for lots of women to go on leave and a rather lonely day at office..
Just another day in paradise...Just cant say TGIF!

If we thought the omens weren't any good in the morning (a full hour and a half to get to work at snail's pace), we were in for a treat in the evening.

The rain didn't let up much or maybe it did...Was caught up @ work and lab meetings with sparse attendance...Almost lost my iPod earphones @ breakfast too...

But the chilly rainy icing on the cake came on my way back to home...A plethora of vehicles on one of the best laid roads in Bangalore! There's nowhere to run when the heavens open up and the populi decide to rebel against the good ol' traffic cops!

After having been denied room by our "assigned" cab in the rain, a moment of quick thinking (or so i thought) or survival instincts took my feet towards another bus which was headed home bound...No sooner had i boarded the bus, than i realized that Outer Ring Road was just not Iwannagobackhomeitsfriday!! conducive.. (Thanks to Girish's traffic update aka 91.3 FM)

Wasn't left with much of a choice was I? I had oodles of time to analyze this and several other viewpoints about several other topics. And I woke up from my reve(ning)erie to walk up, almost in a trance, to the driver and request him to turn off the engine to prevent pollution cos we'd been in the same spot for what seemed like eternity (10-15 minutes).

The usual lack of concern for orderliness, discipline or humanity and yelling and honking and swearing was there. At one point I seriously considered getting off the bus and was doing my walking speed math when we hit Agara lake. And lo behold the craziness and selfishness of it all! A bunch of vehicles trying to take an impossible turn and blocking vehicles going in their opposite direction! And as we passed this scene, I saw more and more vehicles heading towards the traffic jam, powerless to tell them to go elsewhere, to avoid themselves some anguish...

As I finally walked back home, I even remember looking at a small kid in a mother's arms and feeling sorry for it...

Its Electric!!

Today will go down in history as

I apologize for my audacity and starting trouble.

Today will go down...as the day when I first played an electric guitar. Some parts of the experience are worth remembering :

1. Its heavy!!
2. The strings are bendy!
3. The sound is Jesus Mary Joseph enchanting!

Although my guitar teacher mistook my rather pained and stressful attempt of Hotel California (byThe Eagles) to be an attempt of Eleanor Rigby (by The Beatles), I will sleep peacefully tonight knowing that I produced recognizable, rocking music!

An earthquake's sound to a girl's guitar is just another good vibration! :D

Dedication deference delirium

Well I forgot what the third 'D' was so put in the first word that popped into my head that started with 'D'

Most of my blog readers should probably know by now what this post is about, broadly :)-

Yeah yeah I went back to our dear old P.E.S.I.T... No block pants, No running to class at 8.10 am but a casual, almost superior air...Watching young blokes and blokies meandering around, wearing funky shirts and sun glasses...Did not feel old though...

Almost every glance at something familiar brought back a memory...The famous prepaid parking area, the canteen, the cricket pitch, the "new block", the lifts, the audi etc etc

Had been there to talk to my dear HOD about a recommendation letter...Its quite simple apparently, the whole process...What surprised me was the warmth which she afforded me...Lets face it, I didn't depart from college with a very flowery ending...Part of the class with whom the lecturers had their "no speech" morcha, Amazingly brazen interchanges with lecturers about internships and projects...The personal ad writes itself :D

But the point I want to drive college err home is this :

Everywhere I went, I missed the people who I wanted to be there with...Walk the same grounds with them that I used to, visit the places and waste time and comment aimlessly about topics that we werent/were concerned about...And it hit me how THIS was the place where I met some people who are still around in my life...Who've made some kind of impact on me...Who were different people back then, but nonetheless, are still around...

P.S : I dono if I got the first two "D"s in the subject line right!

Ain't no happenin no more

And when you wanted me
I came to you
And when you wanted someone else
I withdrew
And when you asked for light
I set myself on fire
And if I go away I know
You'll find another slave
