What a day!!!

You just can't deny Bruce Dickinson...But wait! I'm getting ahead of myself! For to justify the title of this post, I'll have to rewind to the mornin!

A rather quick sojourn on my Discover caused self to be present in Yelahanka at around 11:10 am! (35 mins I took i think). Ive always loved this place, the calm area, the ppl here etc etc

So once I knew that I'd be going to palace grounds on the 17th of March (details below ;) ), I thought I'd visit my dear friend Krishna :) And such a quick visit it turned out to be! Cos time reeeeeeeeeeally flew from 11:10 am to 2:45 pm when I left, amidst us trying to watch 'Being Cyrus' and our visit to coffee day and the oh so delicious dinner! It had been a looooooong time since I'd eaten so much that it filled me upto my neck! And Krishna threw a in chocobar that I can never resist I think :D Innumerable thanks to Krishna and his family for the whole half of Saturday!! I was extremely happy post the visit to his house and in the right mood to attack Palace Grounds...Thanks Kris :)

And so I entered the arena! Parking...Easily found, to my surprise...Entry into the grounds...Even easier! Just a coupla frisks and I was looking at a sea of people who were united by their love for Iron Maiden! And in this plethora, I was to locate one Mr Srinivas...Boy am I glad that I was with him for the whole show!? Thanks Srini for making this show rock for me :)

Found him and his colleagues gathered somewhere and showing off their newly bought t shirts and sipping pepsis which seemed to have a rather generous amount of water in them :)
And then the painful wait.....

The whole evening could be described as a sinusoidal entertainment package! FTN (a band), winners of Campus Rock Idol competition, sucked big time! But then came Parikrama to solve all that! Oh the violin, oh the vocals, oh the whole band!!! God bless you and inspire you to create more such music and live forever!

Then came Lauren Harris who sucked too...She was just hot and running around stage, which is a turn off kinda...But then her father and his band came on stage to just fuckin kick some ass!!!

I won't go into the details, cos most songs will be unknown to my readers...But the ones I enjoyed most were The Trooper, Fear of the Dark and Hallowed be Thy Name.. And in the remaining songs, most of which I hadn't heard a lot before, Kattu was there right next to me, giving super trivia, and just sharing his enthu with me to keep going!! You deserved last night and all the fun Sheeni! :)

Never have I found myself, without the stamina/strength to sing!! I opened my mouth at the end of Hallowed be thy name to say "Hallowed be thy name" and I could only get till "be"....What came out was just exhaustion cos Maiden rocked sooooooooo much that I remember thanking God somewhere in the middle for having created the world or something like that! :D :P

There is something about 20,000 people screaming and singing songs with you, which gets to you and causes your adrenaline go thru the roof! :)

The C progression

The C progression is quite a unique and amazing piece of musical material.
It is made up of the following chords :

C (again in the higher octave)

Many many songs have been composed on the C progression and the C scale.

I've usually maintained that music can very easily betray emotions and speak to u...
Well, if you look at chords, thats what they do too! F for instance is that weird emotion which can depict uh...this strange feeling inside u almost like surprise sadness or happiness...Its typically a transition chord to move from one emotion to another

'D' though is ur typical happiness chord...Similar thing can be said about G...But u twist D a lil bit and then u end up with 'Dminor' again more inclined towards sadness!

And what can you say about C! They teach u this one firsht...Cos its easy and simple and just plain nice!

So the C chord is a mixture of Nice, Happy chords and Mysterious sounds and music which can make u sad and happy at the same time...

Ruminate means the following :

1. Chew the cuds
2. Reflect deeply on a subject

Little did I know

Now I know that conferences and coffee talks can get boring...

But this post, atleast this part of it is not, about me...Its about what THE hell is going on in the mind of the guy sittin next to me, who proceeds to chew, bite and probably even eat a major chunk of his water bottle! And lemme establish the fact that, this guy's humor quotient and brain power is to be highly admired and clamored for! He's just wow! in what he does!!

Talking about humor, i found out that it can be expressed in several ways...For instance, its quite funny for some ppl to point out to the chewing guy described above, that the guy sitting next to him (aka me) has noticed the fact that chewing guy is chewing into, probably quite bio friendly and recyclable but still, plastic!! and make chewing guy aware of this sub conscious act he was committing harmlessly, immersed in his own world.... I don't subscribe to such methods of humor, but no doubt it is quite enjoyable to see guy next to chewing guy (aka me) squirm in humiliation and embarrassment, which let me assure you is quite temporary, nonetheless real...

Of course it doesn't matter that guy next to chewing guy (aka me) totally admires and looks up to chewing guy and would've prooooobably not at all wanted this weird feeling...

NEhhhhhh!!! Then again, the world doesn't run on stupid feelings...

And oh, I also saw a team mate of mine furiously chewing a pencil today out of sheer tension and frustration...

Name

"What's in a name?!" is quite a popular adage alright

But I had this whimsical thought...And started checking out "name".blogspot.com, where name iterated thru the list of first names of my friends...The names that I use to call them or refer to them...

And I realised two things :

1. NONE of us have our first names,sweet and simple, as our blog urls.
2. All those who stole our right to assign our own nice name to our blog url, have NOT blogged in aaaaaaages! There are some of us who just haven't tried using their own first name (name.blogspot.com still available for use), but for some of us, I saw that the owners have well and truly given up blogging!

There is no bottom line...

Anger

Really really easy to react and satisfy urself, give in to the emotion...

But I learned from an artist, who practices this theory btw, that its quite hard and probably the best way, to check yourself verbally when u are angry. Cos for one thing, with time ur anger WILL subside (no arguments accepted) and what u say when u are angry can make u feel like having an embolism later, when u reflect on it.

And saw a "mad" guy's response to wild, probably unreasonable allegations by another "person" (I will refrain from using adjectives here :D )....And quite generously admired the way he handled what undoubtedly was anger! Way to go!

I am lucky to be surrounded by such inspirations :)


P.S : Sometimes, u need loud music....Really loud music to drown ur own thoughts!
