Here's the heart of the matter...What's more annoying? The fact that Time won't let you freeze and capture moments in reliveable, physical capsules or the fact that Time itself belittles the moments you considered momentous, after the moments have passed??

Whenever you sense yourself reaching out for sympathy, punish yourself for doing so....Splash some cold water onto your face, hit/pinch yourself whatever

Sympathy never did nobody no good....

Case in point

Wimbledon 2007...Must be a quarters match...Daniela Hantuchova vs Serena Williams

Serena up by a set...Second set 5-5...All's hunky dory...

Hantuchova musters her courage and her battling spirit and hits one down the line...Serena is far away from the line and lets it go....Just another point dropped on her way to victory one feels, but gasps and oohs aahs in the crowd! Lo behold, cramps in her left leg!! Just another innocuous point has turned into nightmarish pain and agony for Serena...

The chair umpire, some other official and most importantly the physio quickly rush to her aid...She's on the ground for roughly 10 minutes, her eyes tear laden, unable to get up... After that period she is barely able to stand...A few more minutes of furious massaging etc later, she is able to move gingerly...She loses the game...

But only to win her own service game coming up to level it at 6-6!! Miraculous! Her mental, and more so her physical, strength inspires her to get the vital 4 points to push it into the tie break! No surprise that Hantuchova takes a 4-0 lead in the tie break...

You can write any one of the cliched sayings here, but it started raining at that point...Serena limped off the court, to live another day!!

When she does come out I hope that......the best player wins....
(What did you expect, sympathy?? Smirk)

And when you see me strut, remind me of what left this outlaw torn....
