Weekly wisdom

Things learnt in this eventful week :

  • There is something called 'Pain-Shock' (Medical Purists shall go elsewhere for the apposite terminology)... When one has taken a sharp jab, it somehow hits ur brain or some such crap and the shock causes one to become quite weak... Irulli Doses eaten just 30 minutes ago will fail to provide the required stamina/energy and one shall be susceptible to collapsing unless taken care of...
  • On sets of movies, the extras(as in those eternally happy faces dancing beside, behind and everywhere except the hero/heroine's spot) get some extra money by doing some extra work "at night"...The price? A meager 25 Rs
  • An auto driver driving from 4-5 pm in the evening to 1-2 am in the morning earns only upto 100 Rs per day...The same driver, who has been working for roughly 25 yrs, does not even have a quarter of the money he has earned in that period...Bad investment planning? ooooh huge words...
  • And the most important insight of all : Perspective
It is very hard for a person (P1) to consider another person's (P2) viewpoint in a situation involving both of them...Be it something P1 says or thinks or responds to something P2 has told P1...Cos people rarely think about what their reply or words or actions might appear as to other people...

Point to be noted that I am not asking anybody to change their actions or words to suit others...One should always adhere to personal policies and conveniences...But in a situation where it "costs" one nothing to be there for the other person, one has got to consider the other person's point of view and state of mind and respond to THAT...

Needless to say, the whole issue of perspective becomes highly significant when there is some sort of misunderstanding or communication gap...Many might consider what I am about to say as giving up their stronghold, but I deem it necessary cos ultimately what you want is resolution of the situation...Think a minute...Think a minute about the other person...About what he/she is going through right now in his/her mind...Then make ur move...A minute didnt cost no one nothing...
