Dhoom 3

Before you start thinking of a super duper multi star cast of Hrithik, Aishwarya, Bipasha, Kareena, Saif, Abhishek etc etc lemme say that I'm talking about the series of bomb blasts that rocked Bangalore...

As per the email we received at work, there were 6 bombs. All of them "low-grade, made with gelatin sticks". After I got home though, I found out that in total there were 8 of 'em.

This is a first for our mysterious good ol' city of Bangalore...No sooner were the bombs making their cement-n-nuts presence felt, than did the bulging bourgeois of Bangalore react! Telecom networks and their capacities endured load testing and some severe stress testing. Lack of connectivity, Wrong numbers and loooooooooooooads of worried people asking about their loved ones and ensuring their safety! Bangalore really came together in this moment of crisis :)

Different people react differently to this sudden infusion of chaos into their lives...Some people start shaking and resort to their music players on high volume...Some people sing out loud ( :D no not me )...Some people go back home, find nothing to do so go to the beauty parlor (I'll agree with you if you say to me that this sectione of ppl will form a very small sliver of the pie) and some people comment about how telecom companies are making a lot of business because of the event, when you call them to find out if they're ok and stuff!!

A hh em...right

Death

I ran into this song that I'd listened to, when I was much much younger...
Hadn't had the maturity/Urdu knowledge to appreciate (yeah.... appreciate more than understand) this song, then...

How would you react if you were to find out that you're gonna die shortly? And how much would you be tempted by insanity if you were to know that you're gonna die shortly, with an offspring of yours being on its way, death and birth entangled in this sadistic battle of time??

What is amazing about this song is how the value of life is highlighted by death itself; about how optimistic this song is...Truly, you realize the value of something only when you lose it (or are about to lose it).

Somehow felt like singing this song...If you find my version to be torture, you'll find the original version (by the inimitable Kishore Kumar) here and the 'close' button to the top left corner of your screen (gentle reminder).

Here goes :

and the rylics

P.S : This song is not of genre "Bhangra" as might be hysterically mentioned in the lyrics site...

A good day

Is one where :

You get to change a punctured car tyre.

You learn something about your friend.

And when you get one of these :

I got one with just my name on it as a personal copy...But I like this better...All perpetrators of the crime together :)

P.S : Muralidhar Srinivasa Rao is newly weird but good :)

Hue

When the deep purple falls over sleepy garden walls
And the stars begin to twinkle in the sky—
In the mist of a memory you wander back to me
Breathing my name with a sigh...
The origins of Deep Purple lie in this small poem :)

a russia of blood to the head

Q : When do you see fire in a man's eyes?

A : When the man in question has run his socks off for his country and his heart-a-pumpin, makes one last gasp run to keep an appointment with destiny, with a football (and with either spain or italy), to flood millions of hearts with joy AND makes it, with other men around him having given up.

Sorry Oranje, but the kalashnikov has spoken....

Leave it alone

A relationship with zero expectations is like a vase of artificial flowers...The flowers seem nice and look pretty sometimes, but we aaaaaall know they're fuckin dead.

Sometimes to keep it together, you've gotta leave it alone....

Funny gibberish!

What is Llanfair PG?

Llanfair PG or Llanfairpwll is the short form and commonly used name of a village located on the island of Anglesey in Wales. The long form of the village's name is Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, which is Welsh for ‘St Mary’s church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the rapid whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave'. This is the longest officially recognized place name in the United Kingdom and one of the longest worldwide with 58 letters. The long name was given in 1860s to the village to develop it as a commercial and tourist centre. The village was connected with London in 1850 by the railway and this artificially contrived name gave the village's railway station the honour of having the longest name in the UK.

My first guitar concert

So I went to this birthday party of my niece and my cousin sister had asked me to get my guitar n stuff so I took my axe along too...

And the first song I ever performed to a dazed audience, waiting with bated breath for me was

(hey hold that thought magane! Esht sullu heltyo?? The people in the audience were few and far and most of them were engaged in their own conversations, munching on snacks and sipping on beverages...bated breath ante hah!)

Che!! Tough having a conscience....

Anyways, the first ever solo performance by the maestro was ...... "Happy birthday to you" :)

And then me n my birathar sang "dooba dooba rehta hoon" with jolly me strumming away...Came out ok, but i think the volume on the guitar could've been a taaaaaaaad more :D (che! attention hogging gifted musician!)

A fun day!

I hate wires

The thinner the worse. They get tangled up in any structure they can latch themselves onto. They crawl into smallest of crevices and get stuck there. They find other wires and get tangled up with them. If u aren't patient with them (as I am not) they can irritate u to a great extent.

wedding truisms

The brother of the groom (whose viewpoint this blog is, so the readers will accept and accommodate the biased post) is one of the most neglected and under-rated of participants in the wedding. If the concept of "roles" (as is prevalent in western weddings) is applied here, I'd rank somewhere, if I may use the simile, between a chai boy and a makeup man. Please note that I'm very particular about the sex here...The sister of the groom or the brother of the bride still have quite significant roles, if I'm not mistaken...

And lets also specify, shall we, that I'm talking about the own brother of the groom(no cousin wousin business here)...While the groom's mother's father's sister's is called on and bestowed with goodies and gifts and are asked to participate in rituals, the brother of the groom is :

* supposed to handle everything (hahahahaaaahahahahha very funny one that one!!)
* required to do the MOST fake talk and smilings and enquirings of the guests at the wedding.
* blamed for having only 2 hands at 12 am, post a non-stop day in the trenches
* asked by two aunts alternatively to have and not have lunch, which prolongs actual lunch time to 3 pm (that was AHWESOME!!)
* (The cake taker) repeatedly reminded of his eligibility, singularity and bachelorhood by the ohmygodsomebodyshootthisperson's remark of "line clear aithu" ("the line is clear for you to get betrothed, my dear child, as your brother has fulfilled his purpose in your life by getting married!!!") BTW, almost everybody who meets brother of groom will say this, as a rule...
* Shucks too bored to think of others...

:)

Catirical Synicism apart, my bro got MARRIED!!! Freakkin! Our family now expands, to become a five member clique!! Mere words shall not reveal my excitement, but I shall try!! Yay :D

Marriagehouse blues

So we're all having dinner at the table, and the decibel level is some 100s of dBs as usual, when my dad says the following :

"Chapra chenagi haakidaare alva?" (He is asking us whether the rectangular shady structure consisting of plaintain sticks, mango leaves and in general green plant stuff, is good or not?)

We all shout out in a cacophony of voices, that it is indeed of admirable splendour (not good to not agree with dad during tense times aye? :D )

My cousin chooses this moment to exclaim that the chapra is "corporate"...And then he made some hand gestures in the air, and some more incoherent words were uttered to substantiate his proclamation! My brother and I looked at each other with a "what!?" in our faces...

Wise saying in kannada :

Mane katti nodu
Maduve maadi nodu

a "note"

Music sometimes gives me a high, which no complex arrangement of ultimate multiple orgasms can probably deliver. (Contrary to what some of my friends allege, i am NOT a woman...Just used the phrase "multiple orgasms" to increase the value of the object under scrutiny).

Sunday gyaan

Here're two snippets in my life that came closest to disturbing the dhool on my mind, on what was a rather lazy sunday.

Oh apart from the first half of the day during which I made shankarpolis!! :D

1. Quotable quotes :

"Everybody wants to share a pani puri kano...that's there...When you go out to eat 6 puris, you'll feel it (the loneliness). Every menu in this world is designed like that; it is for TWO people...if you go there alone, you'll just waste food"

Although to a layman this might sound like ramblings of the nth order, sir I continue to be amazed by the seemingly sublime and lucid droppings of logic that you ejaculate from time to time! I would certainly like to have a look at the wirings inside your brain...

2. Human Resilience

If you're not interested in listening to a story about humans overcoming hurdles and winning in life, read on...Cos I'm not telling one such story, atleast not extolling that aspect of this story...

To get into context, lemme run thru the mundane details quickly.

Son gets job in Hyderabad; Parents go to Hyderabad to help him settle down; On their way back meet with an accident; Mom is hit hard, gets a steel plate in left shoulder; Dad not seriously injured, but gets paralysis after coming back to Bangalore; Just sitting for 20 mins in one place gives excruciating pain to mother;

You're probably going "ah another sad story...I know it must be bad, but I've heard quite a few such stories mate"... As I said, my aim of this discussion is not to point out their misery and get sympathy...

But to pose the following questions :

1. If something like that happened to you, what would you do?
2. What is it in them that makes such people continue living life, sometimes with further renewed vigor and purpose? Is it our enhanced intellectual abilities which gives us higher powers to adapt and persevere? Or is it faith (in oneself?? or God??) that keeps us going?...

A salute to human will power, its manifestations and the enormous amounts in which it is exhibited...

Murali and the deathly hollows

How do you react to somebody's death?

The answer is an easy one (in fact an unnecessary one) if you are very attached to the departed.

But what if you knew them just enough to warrant your presence, but weren't close to the person? You feel nothing "major" inside you, just the atmospheric waves of death hitting you as you move close to the body, do a namaskara to it and the stuff...You can't escape the gloom; long drawn faces, puffy red eyes of those who've cried enough, and those who've either been there for a very long time or those who've just arrived and it has hit them : both of them crying still...

And yet, there you are looking at all these people, probably trying a bit but not "feeling" sad...And you just blend in, atleast giving the deceased some respect in the form of silence...

But with silence arrives contemplation as an unavoidable side kick! You think about the person, his life, his highs and lows, his times with you, his achievements (no matter how hard you try, you HAVE to be the accountant with the balance sheet)...And just when you are entering a state of genuinely missing that person and realising his true value, you overhear people discussing rather mundane, petty issues about who's gained weight, which movie they've watched, how tall somebody has grown to be etc etc

At first I thought it to be disrespectful to be doing such things, being in your own world and not being just to the occasion...But then I realized that maybe that's their defense mechanism kicking in...To postpone the pain...

Well, I still don't know the answer to the question which I started out with...

"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it was thou taken; for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return

Ashes to ashes
Dust to dust

Karwar - A blissful evening

Two guys
A looooong beach...which is also pretty much empty...

A beautiful Sun

And the breeze (Oh the breeze!...)

This is your cue to find something to keep under your head and just lie down at some random point...

And what do you see straight above ur head? The sky so blue and vast that at some point you lose the notion of blue...And just to make yourself aware that all this is real you just decline your head and look farther away, and you see that the blue transitions into a white, and then slowly into a pale orange, growing stronger slowly and then you see the culprit!

A reddish orange blob just sitting there giggling mischievously, for having meddled with God's canvas...But he must laugh while he can because his time's almost up for the day as he descends into nothingness...So you shake your head and get back to the blue you adore so much and there're some more ripples in the pond...Eagles flying, floating actually, in random precision...So vast is the sky that you wonder whether they're actually moving! And then you proceed to play connect the dots with them :D ("Ooh there's a quadrilateral...No its a trapezium now...Ah finally a pentagon" and so on and so forth)

Don't spend too much time if you like that game, cos you're gonna miss the sunset...I don't think you'll find that particular hue anywhere else in nature, which the Sun acquires when he's making his daily curtain call...You just sit there listening to the rhythmic splashing of the waves (whoa they're almost at your feet now!) and feel the cool breeze slap your face playfully and watch in amazement...

All this and somethings slightly more during our jaunt to Gokarwar!! An insight into the trip (notes made on my phone) :

  • GO! : 40381
  • mane bittidd 5.15 oor bittidd 6.20!
  • Billankote li bikki pakki..
  • kamat nalli din din 9.30

  • wake up with difficulty at 8am (woken up by griz phone's 'brrrrrrrr' :grrr) breakfast at 9.15 am departure at 10 go!Karna (sniff we miss you)
  • bhyraveshwara@yaaNa! :o
  • ideal ice cream 'mangalore's best, asia's best'.. bought one to shut griz up
  • griz didn't let muli bathe in a cool stream :( we hence named it 'murali lake'
  • Tranquility thy name is devbagh beach..No ppl only eagal..Watched sunset 'completely'..Fulfilled ambition of lying down on beach and gazing at sky :)
  • as i very eloquently demonstrated to my one of my highway colleagues a while ago, i hate lorry drivers..
  • a marathon 2 hr 50 min drive later two starved and delusional men enter 'hotel amantrana' at 2pm..
  • its 5.30 pm and griz beside me is shouting 'bangalore city! Aahahhaha..3 days! Exactly 3 fucking days!!' and he's calm again now, listenin to maiden..I'm just glad to be back home :)
  • And at 41700 kms we stop

Sambandha

The word in Kannada translated into English means Relation...

My relatives are a bit weird... (Do I see many of my listeners nodding their head, concurring with me on this? Or are you shaking ur head sideways saying, oh no one more of this whackjob's whackjobs ?? :D )

Every direction I look at in the family tree, there is some or the other oddity that I find...Before you retaliate and ask me to take a better look at myself as the source of the problem, I'm talking about some really glaring oddities here...There's one who'll shout at her mom in public, there's another who keeps repeating things to me, there's one who'll keep nodding his head while so obviously not listening to you (there's more than one of 'em actually :shudder)...

Anyways, today I realized that I'm not too close to most of my kith and kin...In fact I can say that I'm "relative"ly isolated....

The power of cold rage

I'm generally not one to indulge in anger...I believe its a negative emotion, with long lasting and devastating repercussions if left unrestrained...

But today was a whole new experience for me...For once I let it envelop me, but in a controlled manner...It is probably a bit amusing that it happened on a shuttle court!

I've always felt that you can judge a person to a certain level when you play with him...How he treats you while playing, How he plays (aggressive, defensive, "quietly?!" ), How he reacts to being defeated (Quite an important index into his mind) etc

Before I go on to describe the ppl I played with today, a short word about my own take on the point I've made above...I am usually jovial and excited when I'm playing anything (unless I have to go back to work after playing and face a rather stubborn build server :D )...I'm quite sportive and I sometimes talk to myself for making stupid mistakes, but not too loud..All in all I enjoy myself and don't usually get into arguments about the game and am more inclined towards compromise cos its just a game!

And today I was playing with three other gentlemen...A doubles game...My team lost...We played another, back to back...We lost that even more comprehensively...And then it happened...

Callous Cocksucker : You wanna play a singles game?
Me : Yeah sure...
At this point...He looks at me and gives a small derisive laugh/chuckle...And then says "oh ok fine...lets play" ...I've seen that laugh way too many times now...I know what it means...I say "Do you wanna PLAY or not?" He says "yeah yeah sure..."

At this point, a rage started to envelop me...I still gave him the benefit of the doubt and continued playing...He was being contemptuous, very arrogant as he won the first few points without moving much...He was playing it as a formality, only cos he had said he would...My suspicions confirmed, the blood started to flow faster inside me...And then I played...I played like I had never stopped playing for 6-8 months...And I beat that disrespectful jackass...

Realization : Anger is only bad for you when its outta control, when its "hot"...

Well, this gives me an opportunity to explain/experience the following :

1. How ostentatious some ad makers can get (Udit Narayan at his gay best!)
2. How hilarious they make the experience to the viewers, in the process
3. And an opportunity to practically embed a youtube video in ur blog (its dead simple!)

Well, don't forget to see the video if you haven't already.. This one deserves a razzie alright!

Corporate Cricket Caucus

This is officially cricket season...The Indo-Aussie series has probably revived some of the dormant interest in cricket or maybe this was coming for a while now...

Not only is cricket in the air down under, it has also "infected" the mail boxes of us lazy software engineers...No sooner did the Intra company cricket mail adorn our inboxes, than did the junta (mostly one guy who either still regularly plays cricket or is very enthu about it) start sending mails about forming team"s" and registering for the tournament...And lest there be a battle of the sexes, an all women's cricket tournament was also advertised!!

So we get down to the yet-to-be-completed basket ball court (hah! YES one day, basketball shall be played there!) and start exercising our cricket rusty bones n muscles. And you have to understand one thing about tennis balls used to play cricket on the local scene; they come in various elasticities and weights! You have these rather hard and small ones, which go lighter than fast (or faster than light) and you have this feather light, furry tennis ball variant. The main advantage of the former is that when it makes contact with the willow, it gathers quite some speed; however, the fatal drawback of the same is that when it makes contact with your corporeal self, it'll leave you begging for mercy...

And so we were stuck with the hard 'un and while we were just getting warmed up (by the ball hitting us also), along came another set of id wearing, formally dressed, casually confident group of guys. And no time was wasted to come to an agreement that there shall be a 'match' between the 'teams'. This match was to be held with a big, plastic water tank on one side and a stone on the other side serving as wickets! Throw in some powerful lights, a blabbering bombay buffoon and some controversy and we've got a world cup final here!

I decided to, meanwhile, study the human aspect here which incidentally is the highlight of this post...You see all kinds of guys when you're in a place where there are a lot of ppl playing cricket. There's the silent, brooding type who more often than not let their actions do the talking (and how!); There's the loud type, also called the showboater, in total contrast to the above mentioned type in all aspects!; There's the enthu type who genuinely wanna play but somehow aren't up to standards etc etc

And what I've realized is you sometimes get to know the person a little bit better, when you play with them...Either their high competitive streak or their never say die attitude or their selfishness or their big aortic pump, is revealed when they do certain things. Well, lets just say its really hard not to form an impression about a guy who's around 25 years old and adamantly refuses to give up his turn to bat even after he's gotten out blatantly :)

All's well that ends well...We head back to our respective desks, nursing our bruises, patting each other's backs and discussing the day; little knowing that sore backs and aching shoulders are waiting to greet us along with the next morning's sun.....

Huh?

Excuse me?
Kya re?

mera dil tere pe fida re!

'Huh?'
'Excuse me?'
' I'm sorry I didn't get you'
'What?'
'Could you please repeat that?'

These are words commonly used when one .... Aha my point exactly.

When exactly? Is it just when one didn't hear properly what the other person said? Or when one didn't "understand" what the other person said? Of course there's an evident difference between the two, but the thing to notice is what effect it has on the sayer. Will the sayer interpret it as just a request to exactly repeat what he said or will he assume that the listener didn't "understand" what he said and try to explain either in more detail or by using different words?

I have personally encountered this at work especially and I find it amusing :)

When I inadvertently end up saying 'huh?' instead of 'uh could you please repeat what you said just now?' or something emphasizing my lack of hearing, the sayer assumes that I didn't understand what he/she said and ends up explaining a concept I only know too well (in some cases). And if the concept in question was a simple one in terms of understandability, you will be given a tone/look which implies 'sche! This also needs to be explained to you?!' ; even though all ur fault was (maybe), was to not listen properly.

In a reverse psychology situation, I have also seen cases where the sayer assumes that he/she was dumb enough not to have communicated/explained properly. You say 'what did you say?' and they take it as 'Oh my God could you be any more incomprehensible?!' :D

I have been in both roles, the sayer and the listener...I keep telling myself not to underestimate people's knowledge/understanding capabilities and not to assume :)

I keep telling myself not to end posts abruptly...But the thing is most posts

Tomorrow come

Picked this up on a blog...Was rather scary for some people when it was cooked up, but now seems to be a funny thing! Quite a funny phrase ... "naaLe baa" :D

"I had the daylights scared outta me when this "Naale Ba" rumour was making the rounds when I was in class 10. I was told that naale ba would come to your room in the middle of the night and call out for your name in your mom's voice. If you answered, you would bleed from your mouth and die the most horrible death. To avoid this cruel fate, one had to write "Naale Ba" with chalk on all the entry points of the house, seeing which the ghost would go away and come back the next day (Naale=next day).. Infact, my belief in naale ba strengthened when i was told that 3 brothers died in guttahalli when the responded to the call of the ghost.
That was like the scariest childhood memory of mine ever! "

TV Show

There once was a time when Murali was poised to become a raging television sensation...

A tv show designed to elevate the mind...A perfect setting for him to showcase his talents such as how to nod head attentively, how to ask questions nonchalantly with a good blend of colloquial and textual language skills, how to hog the camera by grinning like a doofus ( :D like so )

But alas...

There came no remuneration...Nor was there adulation...The lost chance caused desolation...All thats left is contemplation (one more :D )

For your reference, the two standing gentlemen in the picture depict the mahagurus of wisdom that they bestoweth upon the bored albeit interest feigning 'engineering/management' aspirants... (How we were labeled "Aspirants" still beats me, considering we were all already into engineering courses...)

As a parting note, this post MUST carry a mention of one comrade who also braved the storm for 30 minutes with some aplomb! The second image below carries an esoteric but nonetheless famous quote from the same "techno" man...Good days mate! God bless :)

Goa & DCH

Some believe the New Year to be a rather special occasion to celebrate...
And some believe that they should cash in on the beliefs of these other somes and make a lot of money!

Well money mostly wasn't on our minds when kris ash griz and I set out to Goa (Don't worry I won't bore the crap out of you by doing a 'Day 1' 'Day 2' melodrama here...) The ambition rose in Griz' heart and the rest of our souls resonated with it! So after some itinerary drawing by Kris and some excellent transportation help by Paddy (without whom the trip would've been in some jeopardy! ) we were off!

And what all happened over there in 2.5 - 3 days, I don't wanna put down here...I feel its something that I can't do, even with my 'managerial' abilities (Some years down the line, I will look at this quoted word and probably wonder "what?!")...Instead, I'll just let this post be a milestone of sorts...A flag which will serve to help me relive those moments, as many as my poor memory will afford me! :)

And ever since I went to Chapora fort, I have had this strong urge to watch DCH again...

And so I am now...One of the best lines in the movie :)

Haan..Ya to dosti gehri hai, ya photo 3D hai!

Fade to Black

The opening of this song is orgasmic...tantalizingly orgasmic (which might just be an oxymoron there!)

It starts slowly, with what I can only imagine to be either a single violin or a singly guitar without distortion, playing just one note...Rising in volume ever so gently...And then guitar 1 hits you! And while you're digesting the melancholy in those notes, the electric guitar oh so majestic! Like a whip cracking through air, it catches you short of breath, sharp and arrogant! And like a seemingly out of control ride in an amusement park (yet designed to perfection in reality), it ascends and descends the musical track until it culminates in the final, blissful sequence leaving you with an 'ah!' on ur lips...

What follows is rather subjective...Until the masterful Kirk Hammett (lead guitarist of Metallica btw) takes over again...

Well some people, including my brother, might describe it in a rather woeful manner...Whenever I make the gross error of playing some sort of metal/rock/uknowhati'mtalkinabout kind of music when he's around, he usually brings a mock scared look to his face and asks me "lo is somebody breaking something?", an intelligent quip aimed to highlight the noise being caused by the drummer, or "does somebody want to take some revenge?" or "Why is somebody so angry to break the guitar and rip off the strings?"

speed kills is what i'd heard...For speed to kill music...well...
I guess Beauty lies in the...........

How to get a reco letter (the thrill way)

Follow the steps given below to make your life exciting :

1. Let your profs have shifted to a new building so that apart from sanitary and other basic functionalities, the building might as well host a 'under construction' board than the department board (key point to be noted : no internet connectivity for our papachi, dear profs)

2. Let the profs be reluctant to check their emails, by going to old building... (there is almost no concept of Internet connection at home, it seems)

Points one and two above satisfactorily require you to go for the hon. paper based recommendations...

At this point proceed to steps given below :

1. Get a viral fever
2. Have events at work which prevent you from attending to this all important matter at the earliest (atleast this is the official reason)
3. Pick "lab examination week" to get recos done, so that lecturers are away on external duty or are busy in ur own college lab
4. Schedule appointment with lecturer on Saturday so that it co-incides with another "function" of the family, for which ur dad has demanded you to set aside one or one and a half hours.
5. Let there be no college letter heads available in the department...its a saturday and department incharge guy is on leave
6. Let system in department where you are supposed to take printouts, be having no printer driver because of recent BIOS update

Something like whats given below might spoil ur experience...so beware
7. Lady in department might know where driver for printer cd is...She might still not know how to install it so we're back on track (hurray!)

8. Install printer and wait for letter heads to arrive...Let it not arrive until its absolutely time for u to leave for family function...Promise lady in department u will arrive "in time" to collect printouts

9. Do not arrive in time...Arrive to find department locked...
10. Mysteriously locate attender and get department door unlocked...Get printouts on new letter heads and await lecturer to arrive.
11. Allow lecturer to talk on phone while filling up recommendation forms...Allow lecturer to sign in place where you should sign...

12. Keep a smile on your face :)

Krishna, you were so wrong lo....Nothing usually happens like this to me nodu...Its all smooth sailin! Why you would want to go and say something like, "there has to be something wrong with /about you all the time" is beyond me...

Khumaar

"Get ready to be drowned in the Waves... The first song that we're gonna be singing is about love...There have been many songs on love...

Kya yahi pyaar hai...Haa yahi pyaar hai

For instance...But what we're gonna present today is of ........ (Forgot what he said cos I was starting to get excited)...Here's KYA Mujhe Pyaar Hai from the movie WOH Lamhe"

So exclaims Nithin Raghuveer

And Arun Shankar, the drummer goes "Ready? TIK TIK TIK TIK with his drum sticks and the guitar starts.....

And then I close my eyes....

Kaisa Khumaar haiiiiiii aaaaaaa.............

The word "khumaar" in Urdu means intoxication. As of now I AM intoxicated by this song.

The beauty and majesty of the distorted guitar...The magnificient chorus...The weird but enchanting female artist singing something incoherent (seeiykamiyaaa?!!?!?)...The small keyboard bits in the interlude...The drums going in a swinging rhythm...And KK...KK the man...

Can sing this song all day...Ppl told me it came out well...I'll block the one hundred voices in my head pointing out the two hundred different things that weren't right according to me, and accept what they say :)

Music I'm listening to as I write this post : Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai :)

Touché

Edit 19th November 2007 : Thanks to padma for providing the funky 'e' in the title of the post

The subject line, for the french nescient readers of my blog, means the following :

1. Acknowledgement of a good point made at one's expense

On a day with no "grey" clouds and when I was feeling like having a "brown"ie, the following enlightening encounter occurred...The conversation has been edited to filter out mundane details :

She said : Whats that?!
I said : I thought its nice...I'm sorry. I don't have good taste.
She said : Yeah I'm sorry too. You don't have good taste.

Such honesty! Endearing...

Past, Present and Future

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A stupid forward maybe? Some nice lines nonetheless....

"If u TREAT her nicely, she says u are IN LOVE with her; If u Don't, she says u are PROUD.
If u DRESS Nicely, she says u are trying to LURE her; If u Don't, she says u are from CHENNAI. If u ARGUE with her, she says u are STUBBORN; If u keep QUIET, she says u have no BRAINS.
If u don't Love her, she tries to POSSESS u; If u Love her, she will try to LEAVE u.
If u SCOLD her, u are like a CHACHA to her; If she SCOLDS u, it is because she CARES for u.
If u BREAK your PROMISE, u Cannot be TRUSTED; If she BREAKS him, she is FORCED to do so. If u HURT her, u are CRUEL; If she HURTS u, u are too SENSITIVE!!
If u send this to girls, they will swear that it's not true but if u don't, they say u are selfish...."

Ohm Shanti Ohm

Just another day in paradise...

Girish is bored after dinner...Even though he lacks the Karan exuberance of "We must do something lo!!", he still desires sommmme stimulation...And I know he'll nod his head as he reads this, he prefers mental stimulation more than err..eh..physical stimulation...

And what better mental stimulation than random chit chats about assorted topics...Tonight's conversation started with him politely asking me to go hang myself using the electric wires running above my head, as i stood in front of my house gate..

And thus was triggered a physics related discussion!

If a man (example me...we spent some time laughing at this a bit :D ) were to hang by an electric wire with both his hands, suspended in mid air, he isn't grounded and he won't die...But why won't current pass from the wire, thru his left hand, thru his body, thru his right hand and then back onto the wires again? A small sketch to illustrate...

Well, I'll let u guys figure out the answer to this one (Girish Physics knowledge mele respect banthu :O)

Well, the gist is that some current does indeed flow thru us, which is not too much to affect us, but might efficiently render an innocent crow quite mad :D :D

And then we went into whether bats are nothing but crows sitting on electric wires and experiencing a shocking moment in their lives...Might not just be conjecture...

At roughly 10.39 we concluded that it must be the magnetic field, around the electric wire right above my head, which was causing all these brilliant theories to be propounded...and we ended the fun :D

Layla

* Dual scale song
* A killer opening on the guitar
* A long slide solo going beyond the frets of the Guitar by Mr Allman, ably accompanied by the blues excellence of Mr Clapton
* The suicidal notes of the mesmerizing piano (sigh)

Enough to make me go ga ga over this masterpiece.

With his hoarse vocals, Mr Clapton usually takes credit for this song and does a fine job...

Here he is on stage, enjoying his music(oh he always does!)..Going at his solo like a blind, doped guy...But he's only human annodanna prove madakke, at roughly 3:35 he extremely blatantly strikes a wrong note...

The expression on his face is priceless! Its almost like saying to himself "Oh Eric!!...Tut tut tut..."

Cricket

Stupid addictive game! Daridra...

What with our "young and dynamic" team lifting the T20 World Cup (and heavy suitcases of chaching! also), cricket fever is well n truly here..

But one segment of the society has traditionally been against this captivating sport..Specifically, it taking up substantial TV time! Aha good guess mah friend...The moms in the houses...

Somehow, with them, the josh is never at the same level as the males in the family...Maybe they don't appreciate the beauty, the art, the small technicalities or the rather embarrassing and funny Sreeshanth histrionics!

I had a chance to run into a living exception to this rule monn monne...After supplying me with some yummy gas gase payasa, she kindly reported the score; And as I was heading towards the front door, she watched an Aussie batsman execute a rather crafty fine sweep towards the usually vacant fine leg region and exclaimed :

"Ayyo yaaaaaaaru illa alli fielders...Idanna nodtaa iddre naane hogi fielding maadana ansatte!"
(Ayyo noooooobody is there fielders...This if i keep seeing let me only go and do fielding i feel)

Rather cute, what!?

Truth

"Satyamapriyam na brooyaath"

"Bitter truth should not be told"

Too generic a statement...Look for the fineprint...

And develop the sense of judging a circumstance and the clarity when deciding whether truth is "apriyam" or not...And whether the truth is necessary and safer, even though "apriyam"!

Steam room

Chandler : Why did they have to put so much steam in there!?!?!?
Ross : Cos otherwise they'd have to call it the 'room' room :chuckle

Steam with Eucalyptus oil is very good for ur health.
A. It cleans up ur respiratory system realllll good
B. It opens up the pores in ur skin so that it becomes clean and refreshed.

I learnt this all from the the guy who was with me in the steam room. Before the Maruti Suzuki esteemed readers of this blog start assuming a very Friendsish scenario, let me state unequivocally that no such thing happened. For a while I was feeling the heat, but I realised very quickly that I was sitting right above the vent that produced the steam and quickly moved away with a "what ho!". After that it was all smooth sweating. I reaped all benefits of steam + eucalyptus oil.

The End.

SCREEEEEEEECH!

But wait!

The eventful journey TO the steam room! :D
I'll let the car freaks guess which model this beauty on Intermediate ring road was...Captured by yours truly, on 4th gear on his bike at around 50 kmph on one hand!

The unnamed feeling

And the cadence tells me that soon i'll meet my judgment day!

So much to do, so little time! (If you don't have time, how come u are writing this blog maga? ahahahah) Is this the cause of a sense of numbness and the frustration?

As I look at the next coupla months and see staggered deadlines, I cant help but wonder about my future...

There's a seemingly aggressive movement going on in our product section called "Build For Future"...Seems to be holding good for my personal life too...That part of my life (already?!), I think, where I stop, DONT look back and squint at that fuzzy milestone with "Murali's super wonderful wi...life" written on it...

Oh hahaha I'm so naive!

Freakin out

I'd envisaged about 6 different openings for this blog.
Make that 7.

A torrential downpour, a reason for lots of women to go on leave and a rather lonely day at office..
Just another day in paradise...Just cant say TGIF!

If we thought the omens weren't any good in the morning (a full hour and a half to get to work at snail's pace), we were in for a treat in the evening.

The rain didn't let up much or maybe it did...Was caught up @ work and lab meetings with sparse attendance...Almost lost my iPod earphones @ breakfast too...

But the chilly rainy icing on the cake came on my way back to home...A plethora of vehicles on one of the best laid roads in Bangalore! There's nowhere to run when the heavens open up and the populi decide to rebel against the good ol' traffic cops!

After having been denied room by our "assigned" cab in the rain, a moment of quick thinking (or so i thought) or survival instincts took my feet towards another bus which was headed home bound...No sooner had i boarded the bus, than i realized that Outer Ring Road was just not Iwannagobackhomeitsfriday!! conducive.. (Thanks to Girish's traffic update aka 91.3 FM)

Wasn't left with much of a choice was I? I had oodles of time to analyze this and several other viewpoints about several other topics. And I woke up from my reve(ning)erie to walk up, almost in a trance, to the driver and request him to turn off the engine to prevent pollution cos we'd been in the same spot for what seemed like eternity (10-15 minutes).

The usual lack of concern for orderliness, discipline or humanity and yelling and honking and swearing was there. At one point I seriously considered getting off the bus and was doing my walking speed math when we hit Agara lake. And lo behold the craziness and selfishness of it all! A bunch of vehicles trying to take an impossible turn and blocking vehicles going in their opposite direction! And as we passed this scene, I saw more and more vehicles heading towards the traffic jam, powerless to tell them to go elsewhere, to avoid themselves some anguish...

As I finally walked back home, I even remember looking at a small kid in a mother's arms and feeling sorry for it...

Its Electric!!

Today will go down in history as

I apologize for my audacity and starting trouble.

Today will go down...as the day when I first played an electric guitar. Some parts of the experience are worth remembering :

1. Its heavy!!
2. The strings are bendy!
3. The sound is Jesus Mary Joseph enchanting!

Although my guitar teacher mistook my rather pained and stressful attempt of Hotel California (byThe Eagles) to be an attempt of Eleanor Rigby (by The Beatles), I will sleep peacefully tonight knowing that I produced recognizable, rocking music!

An earthquake's sound to a girl's guitar is just another good vibration! :D

Dedication deference delirium

Well I forgot what the third 'D' was so put in the first word that popped into my head that started with 'D'

Most of my blog readers should probably know by now what this post is about, broadly :)-

Yeah yeah I went back to our dear old P.E.S.I.T... No block pants, No running to class at 8.10 am but a casual, almost superior air...Watching young blokes and blokies meandering around, wearing funky shirts and sun glasses...Did not feel old though...

Almost every glance at something familiar brought back a memory...The famous prepaid parking area, the canteen, the cricket pitch, the "new block", the lifts, the audi etc etc

Had been there to talk to my dear HOD about a recommendation letter...Its quite simple apparently, the whole process...What surprised me was the warmth which she afforded me...Lets face it, I didn't depart from college with a very flowery ending...Part of the class with whom the lecturers had their "no speech" morcha, Amazingly brazen interchanges with lecturers about internships and projects...The personal ad writes itself :D

But the point I want to drive college err home is this :

Everywhere I went, I missed the people who I wanted to be there with...Walk the same grounds with them that I used to, visit the places and waste time and comment aimlessly about topics that we werent/were concerned about...And it hit me how THIS was the place where I met some people who are still around in my life...Who've made some kind of impact on me...Who were different people back then, but nonetheless, are still around...

P.S : I dono if I got the first two "D"s in the subject line right!

Bad timing

There's bad timing
And there's sheer good luck

Guy@Work walks up to my desk with another colleague

G@W : "So Hows it?!"
Me (tears himself from comp monitor and says without thinking) : "Hows what?"
G@W (Stares meaningfully at me for a while and says) : "Life!"
Both start guffawing like an annoying oafs

See he dudn know that the chemicals inside my brain were mixing up to form a particularly nasty concoction and his words were the right catalyst to make a formula called raiiiiiiiiigeah!

Sheer good luck and the absence of a shovel has saved G@W from a rather misfigured piehole, you know what I'm sayin?

Extremes

At dinner I had the privilege of experiencing the best of tollywood!

One Chiranjeevi movie name unknown other language actors galore

That which caught my attention was the following sequence :

Villain is staunch villain bent upon avenging his father's death caused by our own heroh chiranjeevi baabu...But lo behold! Chiranjeevi had to go and save villain's small kid from a super big raging lorry! As usual the kid is dumb enuf to sit there crying or staring at the road and the lorry driver notices the lump on the road (the kid) only at the last minute...

No no thats not what i wanna comment on! After chiranj saves the kid and the villain learns about it, in order not to stay in chiranj's debt, the villain takes a sword and ends the stupid kid's life...Temporary grace of life from God expired...Raam naam satya hai!

On the other hand I am watching also, a series called Prison Break which shows the rather rough side of things in a typical State prison. In the US. I advice anybody who reads this blog and who likes thrillers/drama series to go watch it.

Rain

So Tuesday you see, She had to be free!
- Tuesday's gone, Metallica

So I drove for 1 hour 45 minutes in relentless rain...eneega?!

If you have a jacket to completely cover your upper body and enjoy bigger vehicles bossing over you by splashing ur profile with muddy rain water ( :D ), you'd be ok with eet too i think...

And we have a rare selection of artisans who've mastered their trade in the field of music! Ranging from Pink Floyd to Velvet Revolver, we carry psychedelic rock, metal, hindi blues, rock and dancie wancie music too!! (ipod)

(The last wancie geencie crap kinda took the gloss off the prev statement...che at self)

If people wanna mistake slow driving with cautious driving, it is their inanity! I will "discover" (hee hee) new routes in congested traffic and get home quicker than them pa! :P

Some rain water has surely seeped into my brain, what?!

Alfredo James Pacino

Well well well...What a show!

The 35th AFI Lifetime Achievement Award show was quite special...It dealt with a rather iconic figure in Hollywood, one whom I've come to adore in all his roles...

What an honour to have such a versatile and varied bunch of ppl come on stage and applaud you! Some were forced, some felt it genuinely...But they all said things that were true and that which mattered...

From Robin Williams' brilliant humor to Sean Penn's heart-warming speech, we had it all. But I think that which made me go 'ahh!' was uttered in a clownish tribute by Jamie Foxx :

"When God made you, He took his time...After that, He took a 30 minute break...He then came back and said 'That's a good one!' "

Hooah!!!

Love Unravelled (The conclusion)

A small series this has become, about love, on my blog...And what better way to end it, but by quoting anthropologist Helen Fisher :

"I don't think honestly that we're an animal that was built to be happy...We're an animal that was built to reproduce...Whatever happiness we find, we make..."

Many thanks to Kiran for posting that link in the comments section of my previous post :)

Love (Contd)

Its a sin to love in this world...

Its a sin to dream of a future in this world... My uncertainty to generalize has now officially made way to a languish cynicism...

Its like an unseen, cruel entity is sitting somewhere as you suffer, holding your neck, rubbing ur nose in the dirt and saying "Eat mud" and laughing sadistically at you...While you suffer silently, under the power of that "entity", helpless, suffocated, with only the pride and the doubt, lingering ur head, of being right...Yes, the pride and doubt simultaneously...

Take this space to mourn all of 'em...My respect to you, cos you have shown great strength...Somehow find it in you to keep going on...Onto greener pastures maybe...
But you only want the ones, that you cant get.........

- Desperado, by The Eagles

Love

Love love love everywhere I see...Discussions at work, Couples in malls..
And Television and cinema...So in ur face! phew!

Here's a small, paradoxical poem dedicated to them...Sorry, only for those who understand and are willing to understand kannada...

prema roga bidade baralu, premi edeya sudade iradu, suduva edege premave maddu!

Hallelujah

The first string of my guitar was broken as I took it out of my bag

There was something very sorrowful in that...Even though I knew that all I had to do was go get it restrung... It still responded beautifully with just its 5 strings, as I touched it and maneuvered it...

And from your lips she drew the hallelujah.....

Grrr

Mood : Disgusted

I hate the concept of a woman "coming in between" two men... My blood boils and I want to break something...Let me be clear that I mainly blame the party involved who strays (man or woman)

Between friends who are close, between blood related brothers too! Aah all my emotional power expressed as rage and loathing...I hate it with all my will

The movie "legends of the fall" delineated something like that...My mercury rose...The movie ahead might be good, but this sequence....

If I liked a woman and she liked my friend and my friend liked her too, I am man enough(yes I would consciously like to use the unjustified and cliched phrase here) and have the guts and the strength to bow out

Also not go and like another woman who is already taken...Against my code...Horrible act...

And painfully finally, SHUT THE FUCK UP if I eventually strongly like a woman who is not taken but doesn't like me...

*************************************
EDIT ON 4th August 10:34 Pm

Thanks to Girish for reminding me the unisexual nature of this topic... i,e. guy getting in between two women or guy straying from a relationship also :)

Of serendipity and pig tails!

Before :

Lotsa ppl wishin n hopin for a good outcome, including candid requests to the Maker like :

"may lord fill sense n purposefullness in u"
Probably hinting at a lack of either/both in me.... :chuckle

On the day, things to do:

"Just take ur admission ticket and passport"
"Don't worry"

As I read this, point 2 made me worry a bit....

After:

I received various interpretations of/responses to my efforts; efforts aided by serendipity.

One of them included this very nice phrase : "Stop sulking like a lil girl with pigtails!"

Hair not long enough yet I think

My wake up call

I was staring at the roof, lying on my bed...

As usual...Sleep eludes me...The more angles the hour hand covers, the farther i am from sleep...

11.30 pm already... Or it was so last when I checked...

Tomorrow is ....

Just numbers and words... How simple yet taxing and profound...

And then it happened ... my wake up call!

Some sadistic dillholes (to be read dumb ass) thought it pertinent to burst some annoyingly long(enuf) lasting crackers a coupla streets away... The pure silence of the night violated, their arcane cause vindicated (I heard some chanting after 3 well separated, well timed "dhat fata fit fat dhat dhat dhat ftuss fffat! dhat dhat ......... dhat dhat" s )

Ah Yes... on the subject of unwanted alarm services....

Slipping from me

.... So at the end of it all I think to myself :

Here's the heart of the matter...What's more annoying? The fact that Time won't let you freeze and capture moments in reliveable, physical capsules or the fact that Time itself belittles the moments you considered momentous, after the moments have passed??

Data sufficiency

***************************EDDITION**************************************

Somehow people didn't get the fact that I wanted the readers (aka the people) to solve this problem and leave their answers as comments.... I wouldn't have posted this problem if it didn't hold something more interesting than an obvious solution

**************************ENDDITION**************************************

The fules to answer the rollowing question are simple :

Say 1 if you think 'A' alone is sufficient to answer the question
Say 2 if you think 'B' alone is sufficient to answer the question
Say 3 if you think both 'A' and 'B' are needed to answer the question
Say 4 if you think either 'A' or 'B' can be used to answer the question
Say 5 if you think neither 'A' and 'B' can be used to answer the question (data insufficiency)

Ok here is the question :

Is 'n' even?

A) 2n is even
B) 3n is even

where, A and B are standalone, true facts.

Just a thought

Whenever you sense yourself reaching out for sympathy, punish yourself for doing so....Splash some cold water onto your face, hit/pinch yourself whatever

Sympathy never did nobody no good....

Case in point

Wimbledon 2007...Must be a quarters match...Daniela Hantuchova vs Serena Williams

Serena up by a set...Second set 5-5...All's hunky dory...

Hantuchova musters her courage and her battling spirit and hits one down the line...Serena is far away from the line and lets it go....Just another point dropped on her way to victory one feels, but gasps and oohs aahs in the crowd! Lo behold, cramps in her left leg!! Just another innocuous point has turned into nightmarish pain and agony for Serena...

The chair umpire, some other official and most importantly the physio quickly rush to her aid...She's on the ground for roughly 10 minutes, her eyes tear laden, unable to get up... After that period she is barely able to stand...A few more minutes of furious massaging etc later, she is able to move gingerly...She loses the game...

But only to win her own service game coming up to level it at 6-6!! Miraculous! Her mental, and more so her physical, strength inspires her to get the vital 4 points to push it into the tie break! No surprise that Hantuchova takes a 4-0 lead in the tie break...

You can write any one of the cliched sayings here, but it started raining at that point...Serena limped off the court, to live another day!!

When she does come out I hope that......the best player wins....
(What did you expect, sympathy?? Smirk)

And when you see me strut, remind me of what left this outlaw torn....

Life

Is like an eagles song...

You just sit there on stage, with people u like and people who have hurt you and people who might be strangers....

You are clearly made aware of what you are supposed to do....You will also find yourself at different places playing different roles, sometimes without a guitar, in front of a piano, with a chika chika in ur hand (The instrument which makes "chick chick" sound)...

And you are supposed to do your bit and focus on it only... Singing an F# note ONLY is ur job for next 10 seconds...Why cant you just do that?!
Your neighbor's responsible for strumming her Em chord and singing the lead...Another is doing his chorus part... Don't bother about them....

Eventually, you would like to create a nice looking piece... And if the harmony is lacking, its only shown quite glaringly... Its just one big rehearsal I guess...Sometimes, it comes out nice and u feel high... Sometimes, the dissonance is in ur face...

(Note to self : Are you aware that you're still talking?!)

Overheard...

Ah those halcyon days when we used to be naive!

And the type of concerns we used to have were "How many ppl did this company pick last time they visited the campus?"
or
"Why does this bloody lift not work!?!"
or
"He's been givin me some rather friendly smiles nowadays...I hope its MY hand thats brushing against my thigh now!" ( Err... hee hee)

This is the story of life on the other side! When we no longer gawk at experienced "working" guys, but watch mere mortals gawk at us!

Lay Man pretending to have knowledge (LMPTHK) : "So neenu yen software baritya?" ("What software do you write?"...A humdinger indeed!)
Soft engineer : (Silence) "Andre?"

LMPTHK : Andre, systems side o application side o?? ("I mean, systems side or applications side?! " Now this is a tricky one...You would've seen two answers bein fed to this tough question...One involves high deceit, a swindling of such high order that u leave the questioner dazzled by ur choice of words and "knowledge")

Soft Engineer : (Silence) "Andre?" (Thankfully the sane answer!)

LMPTHK : Andre........ (Lay Man Kernel Panic....say something smart...no say something!...anything will do...Just words are enough...OH MY GOD this is the longest anybody hasn't spoken! :D ) ... Adhe Drivers....

After this I stopped following the conversation...Not before I heard something like "No...no drivers...mainly application side" or something like that from the polite Soft Engineer :)

Lucid Tigers

A lucid dream is a dream in which the person is aware that they are dreaming while the dream is in progress. In lucid dreams, it is often possible to exert conscious control over the dream characters and environment, as well as to perform otherwise physically impossible feats.

Well, what if you experienced this phenomena in a dream where you can "feel" a fully grown tiger's breath on ur right cheek, in a dingy room? Of course ur comrades are as petrified as you are...Doesn't matter...You are closest to its jaws...Its analyzing ur right profile...It sees the yummy cheeks, the ears and other body parts it is gonna relish shortly...And you are looking ahead, away from its eyes, willing it to move away, exerting all possible mental power on its mind to NOT start licking you...

Was very much sweating when that scene was over!

When you look at yourself from a universal standpoint, something inside always reminds or informs you that there are bigger and better things to worry about. ( :O )
-- Albert Einstein, The World as I See It.

Few things are harder to put up with than the annoyance of a good example. ( :D )
-- Mark Twain, Pudd'nhead Wilson (1894)

I can forgive Alfred Nobel for having invented dynamite, but only a fiend in human form could have invented the Nobel Prize. ( :P )
-- George Bernard Shaw

God is a funny guy....
(God does have a sense of humor)

Maybe he thinks some people don't deserve to see...
(Hoo...huhh!)

If You're doing this to have some fun at my expense, ...... not funny....

Extreme love

How do you handle an unexpected spasm of extreme love??

Anger?
Frustration?
A smile? (masking the pressure within)
Crying?
Jealousy?
Freakin out!?

I think I witnessed many such instances today...where people haven't been able to control their excessive love for another person...BELIEVE me, if 50 yr olds dont know how to handle it, then other much younger ppl failing is no big deal :)

But do they realise that they are running out of time??

And oh.... Leopards have rings and cheetahs have spots! :)

Its another tequila sunrise
Starin slowly cross the sky, said goodbye

Every night when the sun goes down
Just another lonely boy in town
And shes out runnin round

She wasnt just another woman
And I couldnt keep from comin on
Its been so long

Oh, and its a hollow feelin
when It comes down to dealin friends
It never ends

Take another shot of courage
Wonder why the right words never come
You just get numb

Pure Fiction!

Femme Fatale : Hi...u there?

Femme Fatale : This is *censored* from VHS...remember??

(Flashback music........)

Its a routine day in class...The same old stuffy classroom, the same old guys sitting in the same old bench....

One boy wasn't feelin very well though...You see, when you've entered your teens, there's this tingly wingly feeling in the pit of your stomach...And this poor boy had been sadly baited by this angel with a fair complexion, the most beautiful of brown eyes, a mellifluous voice that could stall him completely in his path, and hair as long and luscious as ... as... Sigh! (High restraint exercised not to carry on describing...)

And the reason was that, his cronies were threatening him with a pardaa faash! They were gonna tell the angel of all the feelings that he harbored for her, try to explain to her the tangle of emotions that arose in him many times when he saw her or heard her... And all this in that highly risky time DURING class, when the teacher had his back to the class, scribbling away to glory on the board!!

What was being written and taught meant little to our protagonist...The time had come! To meet glory or to suffer humiliation!! Which was it gonna be...whats she gonna say?!?! The suspense was killing... He bravely cathces her eye as soon as she is told that "he has a crush on her"...........

She mutters a curse under her breath and shakes her head in disgust......

(Notices messenger window blinking and wakes up from his reverie)

Boy : Hi!.... *censored* from F section right??..........
